This tournament is for students who have never competed in a speech tournament before. There will be four different speech rounds.

2. Novice Debate

Orosi HS

This tournament is for students who have never competed in a debate tournament before. Each student will debate four different teams.

3. I.E. #1

Oct. 6th, 2018
Clovis HS

This is the first of the three I.E. speech tournaments. I.E tournaments serve as a way for students to compete and test out their new speeches at a real tournament.

4. Wahzoo #1 (Debate)

Oct. 13th, 2018
Edison HS

This is the 1st of 3 Wahzoo tournaments. This tournament has four debate rounds. Students' record from this tournament will carry over to Wahzoo 2.

5. UOP Invitational

Oct. 25th, 2018 - Oct. 28th, 2018
University of the Pacific (UOP)

This tournament only for select students. The tournament is three days long. Students must double enter in speech and debate, instead of competing in just one.

6. CN Forensics Showcase

Nov. 3rd, 2018
Clovis North HS

CN Forensics is having a showcase open to the public; students will be performing or debating for the audience. Dinner will be served as well.

7. Wahzoo #2 (Debate)

Nov. 10th, 2018
Sanger HS

This is the second of the three Wahzoo debate tournaments. Students' records from Wahzoo 1 determine the difficulty of competition at this tournament.

This is the third and final Wahzoo tournament. Students' overall record will determine their seed/position for State Quals Debate.

This speech and debate tournament is exclusive to select Clovis North Forensics members. The tournament is three days long.

11. Redwood Debate Finals

University HS

This tournament is for debaters who did not receive a seed for State Quals Debate and who would like to claim the remaining seeds.

12. State Quals 'A' Events

Feb. 2nd, 2019
Sanger HS

This speech tournament is only for 'A' events. Students' records in this tournament will determine their seed/position at the CHSSA State Championships.

13. Berkeley Invitational

Feb. 16th, 2019 - (Undetermined)
UC Berkeley

This speech and debate tournament takes place at UC Berkeley. It takes place over the course of a few days; students double enter in speech/debate.

14. State Quals 'B' Events

Feb. 23rd, 2019
East Bakersfield HS

This speech tournament is only for 'B' events. Students' records in this tournament will determine their seed/position at the CHSSA State Championships.

This debate tournament is only for students who qualified to compete here. This tournament determines students' seed at the CHSSA State Championships.

This tournament is only for Student Congress debate. All students can attend. This tournament determines students' seed at the the CHSSA State Championships.

This speech/debate tournament is for select Forensics members. This tournament determines students' eligibility to attend the NFL National Championships.

18. National Qualifiers (Congress)

This tournament is only for students, and is Student Congress debate only. The tournament determines who can attend the NFL National Championships.

19. CHSSA State Championships

This speech/debate tournament is exclusively for students who qualified at either at State Quals Speech or State Quals Debate.

This speech tournament is for all students except seniors and is only for speech events. There will be four different speech rounds.
